Reviews and Ratings
I had a wonderful stay at this resort, which was beautifully kept and located in a tranquil area perfect for relaxation. The rooms are clean and comfortable with nice touches like a fireplace, making the experience enjoyable. Although the breakfast options were basic, the coffee was excellent. The amenities are great, including a lovely outdoor pool and an indoor tranquility garden, but the dining could use a bit more variety. Overall, it offers good value and I would definitely consider returning.
My stay at the hotel was quite mixed. On one hand, the outdoor spaces were stunning and the indoor pool area was peaceful. On the other hand, the room I stayed in was outdated and not as clean as I had hoped, which was disappointing for the price I paid. The breakfast was decent yet basic, leaving room for improvement. Overall, the charm of the property and the friendly staff made the experience somewhat enjoyable, but it's clear that there are areas that need attention.
I had a lovely girls trip at Colonial Resort & Spa. The location is peaceful and the grounds are beautiful, making for a relaxing getaway. The indoor pool and lounge area were highlights for us, although breakfast hours could have been more accommodating. Overall, I would definitely return but I’d love a little more flexibility with breakfast times.
I had high hopes for this hotel based on its initial presentation, but it ultimately fell short. The cleanliness left much to be desired, and while I appreciated the efforts of one hardworking staff member, the lack of personnel to provide basic services was disappointing. Thankfully, the room was clean and the bed was comfortable enough for our short stay, making it manageable for our trip to the 1000 Islands.
We had a fantastic experience at the Colonial Resort and Spa over Canada Day weekend! The grounds were bustling with activities suitable for all ages, and the location was perfect for exploring downtown Gananoque. The only downside was the inconsistent internet in some areas, but otherwise, it was a wonderful stay with great family-friendly amenities.
